Q:

You never remember him having what you would consider fun--

Heiskell:

Yes--

Q:

Because you've described him at the political convention--sounds like he was having fun, right?

Heiskell:

Yes, there he was having fun. That's right. He was having fun.

Q:

You mean you never remember him relaxing and having fun, is that it?

Heiskell:

Not much, no. I got a picture of him and me in East Texas, out in the wild there, and we're sitting--not in the wild--we're sitting at a table, and obviously we were discussing something very important. Why the hell we were discussing something very important in East Texas is somewhat beyond me, because you go down there to chop down trees or shoot quail, but Harry wasn't going to chop down trees or shoot quail. [laughs]

Ah--there was something else that crossed my mind.

Q:

Giving a dinner party and giving a speech?

Heiskell:

Oh, yes. Oh, yes. I will always remember one time. It was in Pennsylvania, Pocanos or somewhere like that. One big hotel.
