And then he was on the board of both the foundation and the Time Inc. board.

Okay. And he was on the Time Inc. board by virtue of his position on the foundation board?

Heiskell:

Yes.

Q:

O.K. Yesterday you said--in other words, did you ever as C.E.O.--I'm continuing this line just for one--did you ever as C.E.O do anything or act differently or consult anybody because of stock ownership in Time Inc.?

Heiskell:

I don't think so. I can't remember doing it.

Q:

Okay. Yesterday you said there were two words--two phrases you didn't like. So just why won't you tell me why you didn't like them. One of them was “bottom line.”

Heiskell:

Oh, because “bottom line” has a connotation that the only thing that counts is bottom line, and I feel that there are a lot of
