I know that he talked to a friend of mine who was then the editor of the Knight newspapers about this, and I think he talked to somebody who was an editor on a paper in Baltimore. And I forget whether--but anyway, we never did succeed in getting the quote “editor-publisher” that I thought was necessary for any possible success.
Editor-publisher in one person?
In one person, probably[?]. In the newspaper business--going back to Church and State--in the newspaper business you'll find that usually it's one person--of course, usually it's a family person, but even so, a newspaper has to have one boss.
