like Saposs. He was an economist, and he was a phony one. Poor old Saposs. I've tried for twenty years to get him to divert his interests from labor to some other aspect of the economy.

I can't remember who they were, but I can just see them sitting there. Of course, Carter Goodrich was there. He was the American member of the governing body, and he was there. He was an advisor to the Government delegates. Otis Milliken was there, advisor to the Government delegates. A suitable number of C.I.O. and A.F. of L. advisors and a suitable number of employer advisors. Now, who those employer advisors were I can't remember, but they were very good. They were hand-picked because I'd picked them myself.

I always did this in the forming of a delegation. The charter of the organization says that delegates and advisors must be chosen from among members of the most representative organization of labor, and from among members of the most representative organization of employers. So long as I was Secretary of Labor, I never had the slightest protest on it. What I did was to look over the possible people from the Chamber of Commerce and the possible people from the A.F. of L. and the C.I.O., and make up my mind who were suitable people. We needed about five or six people, one delegate and five or six advisors, depending upon the subject matter upon the agenda, for both sides. I would look them all over and see who
