They named everyone.
They were crazy. I expect if we'd have done a weekly series with the Pope they would have found something to complain about. They saw a Communist under every desk and under every bed, so to speak.
What about the people who were falsely accused, and their names were published in Red Channels or somewhere else? Would Dan O'Shea also make it business to try to clear their names and keep them on -- would CBS stand behind an employee who had been proved not to have an affiliation?
If Dan felt they were falsely charged, they weren't held up. But in some cases, there were FBI records that they had been members of the Communist Party. And it was an
