Truism, n. A sentence or phrase that is true because it is. "Truism!" is usually exclaimed spontaneously -- and, technically, out of order -- by one or more audience members during the Scriba's reading of the resolutions at the end of each meeting. Alternatively, exclaimed sarcastically for comedic effect in response to resolutions which are something less than truisms.
Example: Am I right, or am I right?
