Dear Colleagues:
I am forwarding the new Arts & Sciences Tenure Review Guidelines, which contain important information about the newly established Promotion and Tenure Committee (PTC). In particular it describes the work of the PTC, its membership and the manner in which its meetings are conducted. I hope that you will familiarize yourself with the new Arts and Sciences level review process and be prepared to serve if contacted by my office to participate as an outside member of the review panel.
I hope you will also take the time to familiarize yourself with the new Provostial level review process, which is set forth in the Principles and Customs Governing University-Wide Tenure Reviews which may be found at: http://www.columbia.edu/cu/vpaa/docs/Columbia_University_Tenure_Guidelines.pdf.
