August Graybosch

August Graybosch was born in Oklahoma City in 1988. He lived in Tel Aviv in the fall of 1990, Budapest and Szentendre, Hungary in spring 1991, and Gdynia, Poland 1997 through 1999. August spent most of his life in the bucolic hamlet of Chico, California and received his BFA from UC San Diego in 2010. His work has been shown at the WPA Art Exchange in Los Angeles, First Street Gallery in New York, Foire Internatinale du Dessin and Galiere d'Art Contemporain en Ligne. August's recent paintings explore peaceful landscapes and still-lifes. Tropical plants and influences from Eastern European folk art pop into his work occasionally. His drawings continue to appear in various quirky flavors that celebrate the absurd.
