**Sherwood's Physiology Text (5th ed.) should be available in the Columbia bookstore & on order at Labyrinth. It is completely optional, for those who like to read in more depth. (Older editions & other physiology texts are good too.) Be sure to get Human Physiology, From Cells to Systems,  not Fundamentals of Human Physiology, a shorter, less detailed, book by the same author.  Also, if you see a paperback version offered for about $20, that is probably a Study Guide and not the textbook itself.
Textbook website
(4th ed) or (5th ed) has flashcards to test vocabulary, quizzes, and links to web readings.
