Professor Ozgur Sahin Wins Early Career Research Program Award

Ozgur Sahin, an Associate Professor holding a joint appointment in Biological Sciences Department and the Physics Department, has been awarded an Early Career Research Program grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. Only 8% of the 850 submitted proposals were funded in this program, which "supports the development of individual research programs of outstanding scientists early in their careers and stimulates research careers in the disciplines supported by the DOE Office of Science."

Dr.Ozgur Sahin’s research “Assembling Microorganisms into Energy Converting Materials” was selected for funding by the Office of Basic Energy Sciences.
