Dr. Robert Beer has enjoyed teaching general chemistry to Columbia College and School of General Studies students for over 15 years. He obtained a B. S. in Chemistry with Honors from the University of California at Davis and a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests include coordination chemistry and bioinorganic chemistry.
