Session:         Page of 755

other day when we were in a meeting had to do with the effect that the cultural change that will take place in our population in the next twenty-twenty-five years, the effects that will have on our leadership, etc.

Q:

By cultural change you mean --?

Stanton:

The Hispanic and the black and so forth.

Q:

The majority of the minorities.

Stanton:

Sure. The whole demographics will change, and what should we be doing now to get ready for what will gradually overtake us in that area? Well, I think not many people around the table in that particular meeting had thought much about it. Yet, you can feel it in New York City, you can certainly feel it in Los Angeles. It's going to happen as sure as, as my father used to say, God made little green apples.

Q:

What school was this that you were discussing?

Stanton:

This had to do with the Harvard/Kennedy School. But, I'm sure these same questions are being asked in seminars across the country, this is nothing unique to Harvard.

Q:

Just to get back to the 1984 group for just a moment, what kind of security clearance did you have to have to participate in a group like this, and were you given access to classified information?
