a family business or something, and they're not interested in having anybody acquire them. But you never know until you knock on the door.
Nobody, to the best of my knowledge, has ever knocked on AEA's door and said: “Here, I want to be acquired.” I mean, it doesn't work that way. There's no reason it couldn't, but that's hardly the way it would be approached.
Well, that sort of raises an interesting question to me. You were kind enough to let me look through this book--Profit With Honor--and the Loehmann story alone is really fascinating.
Oh, yes.
I wonder how many people know that AEA was really involved in helping turn around--
I would guess no one would know.
Were you there when the Loehmann story happened?
Loehmann?
Yes.
I was in on it in the very beginning.
