Stanton:

Working relationship? I didn't know enough.

Q:

You didn't know enough. So it was taking a risk.

Stanton:

No, I only knew senior management. I didn't know senior management any place. I only knew it at CBS through Paul Kesten. And Klauber to a limited extent. No, I didn't know it. I was never trained in a business school. I never came out of a family of business people. My wife didn't either. Her father was an engineer, had no use for salesmen. I guess had no use for advertising or management. That's generally true with people on the mechanical and engineering side. No, I was the most naive, unsophisticated country boy that ever moved up into senior management at CBS. There's no question about that.

But it's five minutes of twelve, and I don't know where my secretary is, but I have a twelve o'clock meeting.

Q:

Oh, dear.
