When I left Research and moved into another tier of management, I tried not to stay close to Research. For one reason, I didn't want my good friend Bud Wilson to think I was looking over his shoulder. And, indeed, Research didn't even report to me, for budgetary and administrative reasons. I felt I was too close to it. Whether that's a good technique or not, I don't know. I think Bud appreciated it. And if I had been in his shoes, I would have appreciated it.
Okay. I think this is probably a good point to stop for today.
