Salamat
School System
The Salamat
School System was established in 1980 in order to provide an
environment that is conducive to learning and students are involved
in both curricular and co-curricular activities. Students are
encouraged to get involve in creative projects. There are separate
campuses for boys and girls. They also have a junior campus for
small children between the ages of 2 and a half and 6 years.
Students are exposed to a wide range of activities like drama,
debates, sports art and magazine publication. Students follow the
British curriculum starting from grade 7 onwards and before that
they follow the American curriculum for English and Mathematics.
After grade 10 the students appear for the O level Cambridge exam,
and after finishing grade 12 they appear for the A level exams.
At the Salamat Girls' the importance of
diversity is realized. It is emphasized that in today’s cutting-edge
world of competitive excellence, creativity along with theoretical
skills are equally important. Hence, a strong emphasis is laid on
extra-curricular activities in our school. In order to achieve this
goal of developing well-rounded personalities, exposure is provided
to a wide range of activities that include drama, debates, sports,
art and magazine publication. As a result, the school has been able
to produce graduates who are confident about realizing their
potential.
Now A level exams are also being
offered at SICAS girls campus.
New Campus
In 2003 the
Salamat Girls' ICAS expanded its new refurnished campus. With
air-conditioned A`Levels classrooms and a common room, students are
provided with an atmosphere that is conducive to both studies and

Thematic
Learning
At the Salamat Girls' Campus thematic
units are an important part of the school year for the Elementary
School. These units spearhead our endeavour to promote “integrated
learning.” The philosophy behind this is to promote teaching across
the curriculum.
Three thematic units are held annually at the Salamat Girls' Campus.
he topics range from nature: ‘Autumn’, ‘Spring’ and ‘Under the
Sea’, to countries: ‘Australia’ and ‘China’, to areas of general
interest like ‘Cinema’ and ‘Dinosaurs.’
At the Salamat Girls' Campus it is
strongly believes that taking learning should be taken beyond the
set curriculum. Learning through thematic units plays an important
role in the development of young minds. Students are given an
opportunity to discover and showcase their inherent abilities in
dramatics, dancing, singing and elocution. A healthy opportunity is
provided to young children to develop their confidence and oratory
skills. It comes at little surprise then that the Salamat Girls'
Campus has produced some of the most talented actresses and the most
prolific debaters in recent years.
