In an opinion piece published in the New York Daily News, Professors Andrew Gelman and John Sides cite survey data to explain that Barack Obama will be challenged to "tamp down some of the anger" surrounding the issue of abortion. Gelman and Sides report that Obama's challenge "is that abortion is not only a contentious issue but also a partisan one: It's not just that many people feel strongly about abortion, it's that Republicans and Democrats feel differently."
