The training program for EDS part-time staff, which is under development, is comprised of modules which either list things part-timers should find out about or are exercises that expose them to important resources and software. The following is a list of the modules currently available.

  (an exercise to follow an in-person intro to Census, an intro that excludes topics of race and ethnicity but talks about how files are published, long/short form/intro to geography).

  (an exercise to follow an in-person intro to race, hispanic origin and ethnicity.
• Using Infoshare
• Sources for Economic Data.
• Reading Data into SPSS
• Using Stata
• Intro to GIS

All staff are encouraged to contribute modules and suggest improvements to existing ones. The modules are stored on CUNIX in directory, /eds/doc/html/work-staff/training. This directory also contains 3 text files: one is instructions about creating modules, one is a list of modules that are assigned, need to be assigned, and completed, and one is the html template to be used when publishing the module.
