Lea Cetera (b. 1983 Brooklyn, NY) received her BFA from The Cooper Union School of Art in 2005. Working in video, sculpture and performance, her temporal installations investigate constructed identities, the aura of the fetish(ized) object, technology, alienation, fantasy and role-play by examining the space between the object and the human body, the public and private, the virtual and the real. Emerging from a collaborative practice in performance as well as filmmaking she has performed and exhibited at John Connelly Presents, Guild and Greyshkul Gallery, Galapagos Art Space, Theater for the New City, Poetry Project at St. Marks Church, Anthology Film Archives, and Portugal Arte 2010.
