Jordan Rathus

By recontextualizing popular moving image formats such as reality television and narrative film, Jordan Rathus explores the complexities of capturing and creating realities in relation to the construction of on-camera identities. Rathus received a BFA in Film and Television Production from New York University in 2005. She trained in classical piano and opera in the Preparatory Division of the Manhattan School of Music and integrates music composition into her videos. Rathus received the Brooks Fellowship Award from Anderson Ranch, CO and the Tony Hawkins Award from NYU. She has exhibited films, videos, and drawings in the United States and Sweden.
