Molly Lowe

Molly Lowe is a NY-based interdisciplinary artist whose work reveals uncanny relationships between emotional interiors, material culture, nature and animism. She morphs materials into meaning, turns the body into costume, and creates cathartic public spectacles where personal boundaries are questioned.
She received a BA from Rhode Island School of Design (2005) and won the Florence Leif Award from the Painting department. She was a resident artist in the Skowhegan Residency Program in Maine (2008), The Elsewhere Collaborative residency in North Carolina (2009), and HMK Residency in the Netherlands (2010). Her work has been exhibited both in the US and abroad.
