Very interesting.
Not only did I want to get what they said they did. But I said, first off, “Could I see your radio set? I'm just interested in the kind of set you've got.” And the reason I wanted to do that was to find out where it was set, because I didn't want to ask them at the door what station they listened to. I wanted to see where the set was last left. And if it was left at some strange frequency that wasn't in the local constellation, that gave me a line to ask them why they used that instead of something else.
I see.
So I developed a lot of interesting information. Came back to New York and --
How many people by the way did you interview?
I don't recall, but it was in the hundreds. We ran our legs off, running around Lycoming county. It's a miserable place because it's Appalachia and poor families --

And so forth. When I came back then, and showed my findings to Kesten, he was thrilled because it justified his confidence in taking the FCC data and either validating them or destroying them. But the other reason he was happy was because the FCC -- There had been so much protesting about this particular study that the FCC did -- the protesting came
