Quyao (Catherine) Chenis a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is majoring in Journalism and Economics.
This website is created as a part of the new media coursework. As a Chinese student pursuing a journalism degree in the U.S., Quyao found that Western countries have a great interest in Chinese media, especially the highly censored environment, but previous studies about this topic are limited. Quyao would like to use this website as a platform to introduce an overview of Chinese media and its political regulation, based on her research and personal experience.
