Adam Axel, born 1981, is a painter who lives and works in New York City. His figurative oil painting is characterized by its engagement with the female form. Axel, a native New Yorker, attended the Sorbonne, and later received his B.F.A. from Hunter College. Axel's recent works largely consist of photographic imagery.
