Emily Henretta

Emily Henretta was born in Boston in 1982. She grew up in a 1910 farmhouse that was in a constant state of renovation in Northern Virginia, adjacent to Great Falls National Park. Her intimate interactions with construction projects and a monumental natural environment have informed an art-making process that explores how objects and spaces are imbued with markers of history. Emily has exhibited her work in New York at The International Print Center New York, The Westside Gallery at The School of Visual Arts, BRIC Rotunda Gallery and Glowlab Gallery. Emily received a BA in History from Columbia University in 2004.
