• Assignments A PDF copy of your solutions should be uploaded to Courseworks by the end of the day in which the problem set is due.
• Class time and place: 8:40-9:55, Monday and Wednesday, 329 Pupin.
• Problem sessions: Friday 10:00 am -10:50 pm on Fridays in room 414 Pupin
(may run longer if needed).

• Midterm exam
  • Exam will take place during class on Monday, October 20th.
  • Topics up to and including the simple harmonic oscillator may appear on the exam.
  • The exam is closed book but you may bring a two-sided formula sheet to the exam.
  • A practice midterm has been posted.
  • This will be discussed in a review session starting at 7:00 pm on Wed, Oct 15th in room 705 Pupin.
• Final exam
  • Exam will take place from 9:00am -12:00m on Friday, December 12th in room 329 Pupin
  • The exam is closed book but you may bring a two-sided formula sheet to the exam.
  • A practice final exam has been posted.
  • Prof. Christ will hold regular office hours on Tuesday, Dec 9, 2025 from 1:15 to 2:30 pm
  • Prof. Christ will hold a review sessoin on Tuesday, Dec 9, 2025 from 4:10 to 6:00 pm in room 329 Pupin
  • Ceran Hu will hold a second review session on Thursday, Dec 11, 2025 from 2:10 to 4:00 pm in room 414 Pupin
• Homework:
  • Problem sets will be distributed on this website on or before Thursday and will consist of  3-4 problems
  • They will be due the next following Sunday (ten days later).
  • Completed problem sets should be uploaded to Courseworks.
• Grades: Grades will be determined from a weighted average of the homework (20%), the midterm exam (30%) and the final exam (50%).
