| Web lectures and outlines are usually provided by the early morning hours before live lectures 1-9. Materials for lectures 10-23 are usually ready by 9 pm the night before. All of the 2009 lectures (on separate web page) are available for those who want to look ahead. There are links to figures in an older Purves (Savada) text embedded in the lectures. Answered questions posed by students in previous years are also provided: follow the red Q&A links to see a more complete explanation; the green Q&A links expand upon a subject. | ||||||||||
| Savada and Purves refer to the same basic text: Sadava is the first author from the 8th edition on, Purves was the first author of editions 1-7. | ||||||||||
| Note: Regarding exams, students are responsible for the material presented in lectures, the Web lectures, the handouts, and the problems. The texts should be used to help understand the lectures; you are not responsible for any topics or information that is in the text but not in the live and Web lectures, handouts, or problems. Additional material is sometimes provided in the Web lectures in the form of links to outside sources and links to additional pictures and diagrams. You are only responsible for the links to the handouts, hard copies of which are provided in class. | ||||||||||
| 1 Incomplete, only about 75% of morning lecture. 2Not available. 3Low volume; use headphones. | ||||||||||
