(Applied Pedagogy Workshops)
The DLAIC is home to many linguists and language specialists who are active researchers and well-known references in fields related to Second Language Acquisition, Applied Linguistics, Language Pedagogy, or Teacher Training, among many others.
This monthly workshop series is aimed at the Professional Development of our lecturers and anyone at DLAIC interested in language pedagogy, such as our graduate students. The goal of the workshops is to enhance the development of our Language Programs (Spanish, Catalan, and Portuguese) by presenting, discussing, and debating pedagogical approaches to foreign language teaching within our Columbia/Barnard classes.

March 29th – Angie Craig and Reyes Llopis-García – Talleres de escritura en el aula: aplicaciones directas.
April 26th – Juan Pablo Jiménez y María Eugenia Lozano– Las tareas de escritura académica desde la Gramática Sistémica Funcional de Halliday y la pedagogía con base en los géneros discursivos.
All workshops for Spring 2013 will meet from 1.10 pm to 2.25 pm
in rooms 201 or 206 of Casa Hispánica.
