Santiago Acosta. Licenciado en Letras (Universidad Central de Venezuela); Magíster Scientiarum en Literatura Venezolana (Universidad Central de Venezuela); MA in Spanish (San Francisco State University). In poetry he has published Detrás de los erizos (2007) and Caracas (plaquette, 2010). He was codirector of Canto: A Bilingual Review of Latin American Civilization, Culture, and Literature and founder and editor of El Salmón, a poetry magazine which, in 2010, won Venezuela’s National Book Award. His research interests center around the politics of canonicity in Latin American poetry and criticism.
