
Anne Freeland
Graduate Student
Anne holds an M.A. in Humanities and Social Thought from New York University and a B.A. in English Literature from McGill University. Before transferring to McGill, she was a student at the Universidad de Antioquia in the Faculty of Education. Her research focusses on twentieth- and twenty-first-century Latin American literature, culture, and intellectual history. She is currently working on a translation of René Zavaleta Mercado's Lo nacional-popular en Bolivia (under contract with Seagull Books) and a dissertation examining theories of crisis and the problem of constituent and constituted power in discourses of the left in Latin America from the 1970s to the present.
