Deneb received her B.A. in Humanities at the University College Maastricht, where she studied Literature and Philosophy. She holds a research M.A in Literature from Leiden University. Deneb is interested in continental philosophy, especially critiques of phenomenology and absence, the relation between ethics and immanence, and the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze. Her literary interests include 20th century Iberian and Latin American fiction, and conceptualizations of science and ethics in literary works. Deneb is also a student at the Institute of Comparative Literature and Society.
