
Elena González-Soto
Lecturer in Language (Spanish)
Elena González-Soto has a M.A. in Spanish Linguistics from the Universidad de León, in Spain, and is currently working on a doctoral dissertation titled "Acquisition of Foreign Spanish Grammar in the Beginning Level". Her professional interests are lesson planning, activities design, and putting them into practice in class.
She has taught Spanish language at three universities: first at Voronezh State University, (Russia), then in her hometown of León, and afterwards at Duke University, where she was also coordinator for the elementary and intermediate levels.
She loves teaching and her aim is that students find the experience of learning Spanish both effective and enjoyable.
