Uniform Title

Definition

A Uniform Title (anonymous works, series) Seach is useful for finding works that do not have identifiable authors.   This search is invaluable for finding editions and translations of the Bible and the Qur'an, and also provides cross-references to epics and serials.

Search Strategies

Select Uniform Title from the search options and enter the title of the work as it is best known. Neither Boolean operators nor Search Limits can be used in a Uniform Title search.

Examples:
BulletSearch:  Beowulf
BulletFinds: Beowulf
  Beowulf. Adaptations, parodies, etc.
  Beowulf. Danish.
  Beowulf. Dutch.
  Beowulf. English.
  Beowulf. English & Anglo-Saxon.
Beowulf. English & English, Old. 1991.
  Beowulf. English. 1943.
  etc.

Alternative Search Options

If a Uniform Title search does not retrieve the results you are looking for, try doing a Title, Keyword, or Guided Keyword search.
